The Assessment of Learning Potential (LPAD)

The Learning Propensity Assessment Device (LPAD) is designed to measure an individual's potential (propensity) for learning. Intelligence is not viewed as a stationary measure, according to principles of cognitive enrichment. Dr. Martha Wood and select SCEL staff members are certified to administer both individual and group assessments of learning potential, according to approved, specified guidelines for Professor Feuerstein's LPAD. Arrangements can be made through Dr. Wood for individual assessments to be conducted at SCEL in metro Atlanta, or on site for group applications. Once an assessment of learning potential has been attained, SCEL staff can then recommend a custom intervention through the proven tools of Instrumental Enrichment. Contact us at info@scel.org to make arrangements for assessments.

LPAD Practitioners

Since its inception, SCEL has been vitally interested in making training for the Learning Propensity Assessment Device available in the United States. For several years we were the only ATC that offered LPAD Training, and we frequently have inquiries from parents and others about LPAD practitioners in particular locations. Sometimes from our own knowledge we are able to make recommendations from among those who have trained at SCEL, but often those seeking the LPAD have to come to Atlanta in order to have access to one of our three LPAD practitioners.
